The biggest trail running event in the Philippines is finally here once more! The Salomon X-Trail Run is a series of trail running events in the Asia-Pacific Region. This race is reputed to be a more technical trail running race, with a mixture of different terrain surfaces including dirt, rocks, sand & concrete paths.

Filinvest Endurance Weekeend 2018

 

Biker’s gear up as the much anticipated off-road bike event in the metro is set on its 5th year, the Filinvest City Alabang on July 7-8. Conquer the off-road challenge and test your strength in 6-hours, 12-hours and 24 -hours challenge.

The event is open to individual and team racers – 12 hour (2 person team) and 24 hour (3 person team) categories.

In the case of team races, the total loops will be divided equally among each team member. The three members of the 24-hour team will have to finish 8 loops each and the two members of the 12-hour team will have to finish 6 loops each.

Under Armour 3×3 SEA Basketball Tournament 2017.

Under Armour continues to grow its basketball domination worldwide, this year they started the summer in the SEA Region with the highly-anticipated 3-on-3 Southeast Asia basketball tournament this April 2017 in search of the best Southeast Asian teams that will compete in the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) 3×3 U18 Asia Cup Malaysia.

Two tournaments will be held in the Philippines. The first one in Cebu on April 22 and 23 and the second one in Manila on April 28-30.

• U18 – open to all boys/girls under 18 who born in 1999-2001 only.
• Open Division – for 18 and up who is born from 1967 – 1988 only.

The winners will bring home a cash prize of $1,000 and the will represent Philippines for the Fiba U18 3×3 tournament in Cyberjaya Gem, Malaysia, set from May 26 to 28.

Under Armour Test of Will PH winners.

 

The Philippine leg of Under Armour’s ‘Test of Will’, took place last March 25 at Activity Center of Glorietta Mall in Makati City.

The winners of the event, for the Men’s Division, on 3rd place was Gian Carlo Mercado with a total score of 136.  On  second place was Merwin Torres, with a score of 140 and for 1st place, winner was Raje Fama, with a total score of 150.

For the Women’s Division, on 3rd place was Rachel Ann Martin, with a total score of 93.   On 2nd place, it was Lynette Suler, with a score of 98.  While, Joyce Reboton won for first place, with a score of 126.

Joyce Reboton and Raje Fama will be sent to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on May 6 for the Finals, to compete with other representatives from other countries.

There were a total of 260 participants who competed in the said event, with 114 participants competing on the first day and 146 participants on the second day.

UA ‘Test of Will’ Philippine leg, offered athletes the chance to compete in a simple 4-minute circuit consisting of Burpees, One Arm Thruster, TRX Rows and Sandbag Throw.  The side-events also included arm wrestling challenge and a fitness session with Elle Adda.

Each competitor was scored based on the maximum number of repetitions they can achieve within 60 seconds. The highest scoring man and woman of the national Heats from each respective country will be sent to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 6, 2017, to face-off with other representatives from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei.

This year’s overall champion of the regional finals will walk away with S$2,500 cash prize, or around Php 88,000.00, winners will also get free head-to-toe gear and special discounts.

Under Armour Test of Will 2017: Manila

Under Armour, the leading developer, marketer, and distributor of branded performance apparel, footwear, equipment, and connected fitness platforms, will hold its second installment of the Southeast Asia-wide fitness challenge dubbed “Test of Will” this summer.

The inaugural Test of Will had a successful and promising turnout last year, with two Filipino athletes Zoe Pond-McPherson and Noelle Wenceslao emerging victorious in the exciting and heart-pumping competition.

In search of a new batch to don the Philippine colors on the thrilling Test of Will stage, Under Armour will hold a national heat at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City on   March 25-26 2017.

Pushing the outer limits of strength and endurance, will-driven Pinoys (21yrs old and above) will have to compete in a four-minute intense course that requires them to complete 60 seconds of four exercises such as burpees, one-arm thrusters, TRX row and sandbag throw.

Top male and female will get the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the Test of Will final round, which is set to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this coming 6th of May.

Aside from the Philippines, countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei and Indonesia will also be hosting their own qualifiers.

A total of 12 competitors from the six aforementioned nations will go head-to-head inside the highly-touted structure, which contains different fitness zones with calisthenic
exercises.

A cash prize of $2,500 and Under Armour gears await the overall winner of the second-annual Test of Will.
