Under Armour continues to grow its basketball domination worldwide, this year they started the summer in the SEA Region with the highly-anticipated 3-on-3 Southeast Asia basketball tournament this April 2017 in search of the best Southeast Asian teams that will compete in the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) 3×3 U18 Asia Cup Malaysia.

Two tournaments will be held in the Philippines. The first one in Cebu on April 22 and 23 and the second one in Manila on April 28-30.

Categories/Divisions

  • U18 – open to all boys/girls under 18 who born in 1999-2001 only.
  • Open Division – for 18 and up who is born from 1967 – 1988 only.

P2,750/Team
Registration is ongoing through www.ua3x3.com and in Under Armour and partner stores until April 9.

The winners will bring home a cash prize of $1,000 and the will represent Philippines for the Fiba U18 3×3 tournament in Cyberjaya Gem, Malaysia, set from May 26 to 28.

As this year’s UAAP men’s basketball season came to a heady climax and finally declared the UAAP season 79 Champion, Kopiko 78 also awarded eight star athletes, handpicked from each of the varsity teams to be included in the first ever Kopiko 78 Recharged Team!

One Kopiko 78 Recharged Balleros was commended during each game of season 79 for impressive and exceptional performance on the hardcourt, exemplary playing despite their hectic schedules with academics and training’s everyday. The players from each team who received the most distinctions were awarded the prizes last December 7 at the Araneta Coliseum.

“It’s all about endurance and focus. You should not give in to the pain, though it’s not easy. Manila Qualifier of Jr. NBA Jr. WNBA 2016

As the summer heat up, another activity for kids has been set. A nationwide basketball training camp by Jr NBA and Jr WNBA presented by Alaska for the kids ages 10-15 was held at Don Bosco in Makati City on his 9th year. They set a record for having a 1,114 participants in their manila leg in this year camp. The highest regional attendance to date since the program started in 2007.

On the 1st day of event, trainees all over the metro trained by the top coaches in different Vital Test, Skills and drills challenges to improve their hardcourt skills.

At the end of the day 1, 45 Mens and 30 Womens were selected over the thousand of participants.

On Day 2, the remaining ballers from the 1st day continue their journey as they to move to advance training challenges. They do basketball clinic in the morning for the morning session and scrimmage on the afternoon to know and apply what they learn during the camp.
